Aurora is definitely a very outgoing, very optimistic individual. She is never afraid to speak her mind, and she loves to starts debates. She is rarely saddened by anything, and she doesn’t know how to hold a grudge (she just thinks that Mr. D is a creep). Aurora hates when actual fights break out among the campers, and does her best to try to resolve them.
Away from the camp, Aurora tries to be as normal as possible, hanging out with the girls she grew up with (Tanya, Heather, Lily), shopping, going to the beach, etc. However, the instant she leaves camp, she misses it, and usually only stays gone for a couple weeks. Her father doesn’t really care, and nor does she – there have been too many awkward moments between the two of them due to her mother being Aphrodite that she’d really rather not return.
Born: June 21
Homeland: New York, New York. City girl born and raised.
History:
Aphrodite, Goddess of Love. When people think of this goddess, they think of cupids, of valentine's day, of her husband Hephaestus, and her lover, Ares. And of course, Aphrodite, who could not be loyal to her husband, would not be loyal to her lover (nor he to her, as is evident). Aurora's father, Michael, had been a hard working author for quite some time, and he had been quite profitable. Michael was also not hard done by in the looks department, thus what caught the sultry goddess' eye one day, as she happened by him while shopping.
One thing lead to another, and Michael ended up taking Aphrodite home. Nine months later, Aurora happened along. Aphrodite left, as per the law of Zeus, and left Michael and his daughter alone. Aurora grew up comfortable, never having to want for anything, and never having to suffer at the hands of a bully due to her innate beauty, and her mother's inherited charm. However, when she hit her teenage years, her father (who had, for some reason or another, turned to alcohol in the past 13 years for "inspiration"), started to sexually and physically abuse his daughter. Terrified for her life, she ran away.
A few short weeks after running, and hiding out in central park, she was found by Lillian, a satyr trying to find new heroes for Chiron, to bring them back to the camp for training. Aurora wasn't a give away at first, until the Cyclops of Central Park came out of his den, and charged straight at Aurora. Lillian, thinking quickly on her feet, managed to blind the cyclops with a well-aimed dose of lemon juice to the ugly brute's eye, managed to save the girl.
After paying the Sisters of Fate two golden drachma for transport to Camp Half-Blood, Lillian got Aurora (shaken, though in one piece) to Chiron. Shortly after arriving, and in the middle of dinner, the bright pink symbol of Aphrodite appeared in all it's sparkling glory. Being one of few of Aphrodite children at the camp at this time, she moved, in silence from the Hermes table to Aphrodite's table, to the cheering and clapping of a few of her brothers and sisters.
During her six years at Camp, she has turned down every guy and girl that has tried to approach her to ask her out, having little to no real interest in them. Her archery skills are comparable to those in Apollo now, and her hand-to-hand skills were minimal at most to begin with, but due to repeated practices, she has become proficient with her tonfa, and in the fighting style of Kobudo (at the advise of Chiron that she pick a fighting style to fend off those pesky obsessed boys, girls, and satyrs).

Riley trudged through the forest, his mind on one thing, and one thing, and one thing alone. Getting to the temple of Poseidon - the God of Water and of the Seas. Riley frowned as he walked, thinking that Poseidon couldn't POSSIBLY be such a great ruler. Not if most of the things he did involved death.
Not like the elves were much different, though.
Riley sighed as he saw the peaks of the Temple enter his sights. And, needless to say, those peaks were welcome sights indeed. the peaks meant food, where he had been near-starving the entire last week of his journey; a roof over his head, instead of leaves and rain clouds, which had soaked him to the bone on more than one unwanted occasion; and a warm bed to sleep in, instead of the moss that grew underneath towering pine trees, his cloak the only blanket he had to sleep under.
Oh yes, Riley was ready for at least a couple days sleep in one of the beds he assumed the Temple would have. Then he would worry about eating.
That's when Riley noticed his limp. He cursed the stupid thing, knowing that the limp would never go away, that it was one of his spells gone wrong - one of his spells that would haunt him forever, in the form of a phantom hammer. Riley cringed at the thought.
Riley soon saw the large brick wall and brushed his black-tipped hair out of his clear, cerulean eyes. It was definitely, oh yes - MOST definitely a welcome sight. That was when he saw the man standing guard. Or, it looked like he was standing guard. And talking to himself.
You get people of all types at these temples, don't you? Riley thought, raising an eyebrow, then instantly smiling at the man as Riley came out of the forest.
"Greetings, good sir," Riley piped as he saluted the blonde - Holy mother of Hera - he was a half-elf! Riley's smile widened significantly as he walked up to the half-elf and looked up. My, he's tall for an Elf...
"Good day," Riley said again, ensuring he had the mans attention, and showing him respect with a small bow. "I was wondering, fellow elf, if your Temple had room for one more for the evening? I've been traveling for a week, and I wish to rest a bit – that forest is no mere walk in the woods, if I do say so myself."
