Stormy grey eyes blinked open as sunlight poured into camp. Serina blinked once more and then yawned. Still lying on her bed, she looked around the athena cabin. Everyone was asleep. Her eyes switched their focus to the window, and she smiled. It was going to be a brilliant day. Silently, she sent a short thanks to Apollo. With that, Serina got out of bed and dressed in a pair of shorts and her blinding bright orange camp half-blood t-shirt. She pulled her long, blonde hair into a ponytail, not bothering to brush it out, and put her bobbypins in her hair. She never went anywhere without her hidden weapons. With a satisfied nod, she picked up her guitar and looked around for Bailey. She saw him curled up in a tight grey ball at the foot of her bed. Serina went over and picked him up, setting him back down on her shoulder. She never went anywhere without Bailey, and she didn't plan to break that fashion any time soon. The cat dug into her shoulder with his claws, and his fur was on end. He hissed, not liking being woken up at this early hour. Serina chuckled and stroked down his fur till it lay flat.
For one last time, the demigod looked around the cabin. All was well. She hadn't woken anyone up. With a smile, her guitar, and Bailey, Serina stepped out of the cabin. On the horizon, the sun was just rising, but already the early morning was warm. It would turn out to be a hot day. "Where shall we start the day Bailey?" she asked as she closed the cabin door behind her. "Hmm..." She looked around in indecision. She wanted a nice quiet place where she could play her guitar in peace. "How about the woods?" Bailey meowed and rubbed against her. She laughed. "The woods it is."
Serina pulled the strap of her guitar over her head, letting it hang from her shoulders, and they walked towards the woods. Serina hummed as she made her way. It was so good to have no school to worry about - only monsters, fighting and summer. Cat and girl reached the woods. Serina decided to follow the small stream that snaked through the forest. She felt safer by the water. If anything attacked, the water would be able to heal her. Finally, she stopped by a big oak tree. With a nod, she began climbing it with practiced ease. She'd climbed up here millions of times before to sit and relax.
She sat in an arm of the tree, and settled herself, leaning back against he tree trunk. She let out a sigh of happiness and began playing around with the strings on her guitar, while Bailey jumped from her shoulder and went to sit at her feet, curling himself once more into a tight circle. Serina smiled and began to play. It didn't take effort or thought anymore. She'd played this song so much that her fingers moved without her even having to think. Slowly, she began to sing along with her playing. Her voice was soft and light. She was singing just for herself and no one else, and that was the way she liked it.

Charlie stretched as she awoke, like every morning. Nicky and Leo were more than likely still asleep, the boy's could probably sleep all day if she didn't make them wake up some mornings. She quickly got up and made her bed, smiling the whole time. It was sunny already, and she thanked her father for that. Maybe she would send an Iris message to her mother and step father later, she still found it odd that she shared the same name as her step father, Charlie. She giggled a little bit to her self, and dug a pair of shorts and a camp half blood tee shirt out of her little dresser, and quickly got dressed, and ran her brush through her knotted red-brown hair. She pulled it into two low pig tails, and saw down on her bed to pull her sneakers on.
Charlie put her necklace and bracelet on, never going any where with out the two, as she couldn't really lug her bow and quiver around all day, so her sword and shield would do, for now. She quietly walked toward the door of the cabin, and opened the door. She snuck out, well, walked out, really, she really couldn't sneak out of the cabin very well. She had a buzz of energy, as she did every morning, and decided to go for a run, she'd go into the forest, and hope maybe she'd burn some of the energy she always had too much of. She stretched quickly in front of the cabin, and then started into a light jog. Gaining speed, she felt the sun on her pale skin, 'Thank you, dad.' She thanked her father again for the warm sunny day.
Quickly, Charlie stopped on the edge of the forest. She knew better than to run through the forest at full speed, having done it way too many times, and always coming out injured, even if she could be healed quickly by one of the other Apollo kids, and Apollo himself. She stepped over a tree root, and heard some one singing and play guitar, she couldn't tell where it was coming from, thought. It was a girl, she could tell that much, and she also knew they were good, and since most Apollo kids were good with music, well, all were, it was really nice being able to call someone who wasn't famous, good. Charlie did like complementing people.
