Getting Settled (open to anyone)

Nicky was excited about getting started on his third summer at Camp, it felt like a home coming every time he crested half blood hill and saw the Apollo Cabin glittering in the distance. He took a deep breath of the crisp fresh air and trotted down towards his true home.

He strolled into the cabin with an easy gait, enjoying the magic that just seemed to fill the place, this was home, it would always be home. He felt a slight twinge of guilt as he thought about his aging foster parents, he loved them dearly, but it was getting obvious that the demigod life was beginning to wear them down. his foster father, Michael, was also his much older demigod half brother, who was getting into his 80's, and slowing down a lot. Nicky would just stay at camp year round to give them a break, but he loved them too much to just not go back.

Maybe I'll talk to them later through an Iris message or something. He thought as he started unpacking his gear. Above his bed he hung his bow and quiver, next to the lyre he had made by hand his first summer.

"Well dad, I'm back. It would really help if you could say something to Michael before I do. I just want him to understand that I love him and don't want him to get hurt because of me. He'll listen if you talk to him first. Yeah I know it's kinda cheating, but could you just give me this one please? Sorry, dad, but you I'm sure you understand," Nicky gave a weak smile as he finished up putting his things away. He lay back on his bunk, and started toying with his lyre. "Here maybe this'll sweeten the deal for you," Nicky closed his eyes and allowed his fingers to find their home on the lyre strings, plucking and strumming out and an old Delphic Hymn, hoping it would please Apollo.

"Long time no see, Bro!" A voiced greeted excitedly as Nicky toyed with the lyer. Leo DiNozzo stood in the door way, his own back pack slung across his shoulder. Leo knew that technically Nicky was more his uncle, but Bro sounded more casual. Leo had just arrived himself and was glad that he wasn't the only Aollo camper to already arrive. He walked over to his bunk and removed his backpack with a sigh.

"Man, summer never comes soon enough." Leo said happily as he rumaged through his backpack. "So Nicky, hows it been?" Leo asked as he unpacked as well. He'd already dropped off the majority earlier, so the backpack mostly contained comics, CDs, drawings, trading cards, etc. Leo was never short on new stuff, it was a wonder why he wasn't spoiled rotten.

Nicky snapped out of his musings as Leo came into the cabin. "Long time no see, Bro!" Nicky smiled widely, "That it has.," Nicky said slightly distracted/ " Man Summer never come soon enough. So, Nicky, how's it been?"

"I'm good, things went fairly well this year. Although, I will say I extremely happy to be back home, where I belong." He hung his lyre back up commenting. "I just heard that the Jackson Twins are having some sort of birthday dash. There was something about the theme being fancy dress. I wonder if that means costume party, or if it means formal jacket and tie type thing. Either way, when you get that many demigods together, you're bound to have a good time,"

Nicky checked himself out in the mirror, clothes looked ok for now, he'd have to change once he found out for sure either it was a costume party or a formal get together. His lovely blonde hair was that perfect length, styled just right. Nicky smiled to himself feel fairly content.

"So, Leo, how were things for you? Stay out of trouble? Or did you find more trouble than you could really handle," Nicky playfully poked and teased Leo, feel right at home.

Muse: pretty much on life support *shrug*

Leo was probrably one of, if not the most, fortunate Demi-gods outside of camp. He had two capable parents, in parenting and fight, loads of cash and almost anything you could want. Yet that couldn't beat Camp Half-Blood, not even close. It was just something about being round other Demi's that made it so - homey you could say. "We need to seriously switch our camp schedule, nine months here would be sweet." Leo laughed, his brain already plotting his scheme.

"Oh cool, Didn't expect to party this soon, but no way am I complaining." Leo sighed exitedly. "Huh? Have you forgotten who's the houdini of getting out trouble? No such thing as too much trouble, just gotta think out of the box." He stated in mock offense. "Nah, I had a few close calls, but nothing I couldn't trick my way out of." He added as he finished unpacking and flopped onto his bunk.

Nicky smiled fondly at his impulsive Nephew, it still felt odd to him that Leo was part of the Apollo Cabin, but he didn't mind. "You little trouble making trickster. Hehe, you sure you're not one of Hermes' kids? They are the experts on all things trouble," Nicky teased a little wandering around the cabin a bit. He smiled to himself when he recognized the potted plants on the window sill, as the same ones he had planted last summer. They were Hyacinth, lovely blood red flowers with a sweet perfume that always kept the cabin smelling fresh and clean. Nicky thought a quick prayer of thanks to his father for keeping them growing strong while he was away. Lost and thought he ran his fingers along the orange and black figures on the pots, which had been another project he had down during one of his summer here. He smiled to himself lost in thought for a moment, then shaking his head to clear it he walked over to the door saying, "I think I'm going to head out for a bit, see who else is here already. I'll see you later tonight,"

[Charlotte Clarie Pace]

Charlie smiled seeing the Apollo cabin in the distance, her summer home, more or less. The cabin of her father. She lifted her beg higher up on her shoulder, there wasn't much in it, not this one. She had come a bit earlier this year, wanting to get all of her things there. Last trip she had taken her bow and quiver of arrow's up, and hung them on the wall, and most of her other things. This trip was just her guitar and some clothes, and her jewelry and make up, the little bit of it she owned.

She pushed open the door to the cabin, Nicky was standing right inside, he was probably going out side again. She smiled at her two half brothers, and made her way to her bed. She put her guitar down, and started un-packing her things. "How was your guy's year?" Charlie asked Nicky and Leo, turning around and sitting on her bed. She knew the two of the boy's well enough, one being her half brother, the other more of her nephew.
