Annabeth sat by the edge of the lake, gently trailing her hand through it's waters. It was absurd to think that she had once disliked the water, fearful of her mother's rivalry with the God of the Sea's, Poseidon. How could she dislike the water now, when so much of it reminded her of Percy. Percy was the water, who lived and breathed (literally) the water. Annabeth began to smile, her daughters would say she was being soppy. Of course she was, wasn't that part of being in love?
Her mind wandered, not settling anywhere in particular, but roaming through things that troubled and delighted her. Although she must have gone through her half-brother, Daedalus's laptop a thousand times, again she trawled through it in her head. She had redesigned a lot of Olympus and had structured cabins for minor Gods and Goddesses, she thought she could never come close to what Daedalus had did when he built the Labyrinth. But again, this was a repeated thought and it did not linger.
Then she heard movement behind her, and whirled around, drawing a knife in the same instance.
"Who's there?" She asked clearly. All though she never would have bothered with asking questions when she was younger, she was wiser now. It could have easily been a Camper who made the noise.

Like father like sonLike father like daughterCamp was home for Nerina. he had lived her all her life and didn't really plan on leaving it anytime soon. In fact she would probably stick around and help out as it would be helpful to the other genetic demigods to have someone to talk to like them. Luckily Nerina was born with her own personal confider being a twin as she would tell Serina more or less anything and everything. As after all that's what most twins did as you couldn't really get much closer than twins as they was literally two peas in a pod. They ma have quite different personalities with Nerina taking after her father and Serina there mother. But they got long perfectly well of which Nerina was glad of as it meant that she would always have somebody to talk to, what ever happened.
So at this moment in time Nerina was walking down to the lake as it as one of her most favourte places on camp. And when you found out who her father was you would understand why. Being a granddaughter of Poseidon she loved to be in the water and would jump in it at any chance she got as she loved the fact she didn't have to get wet if she didn't want to. She loved that she had inherited that power from her father as well as being able t breath underwater and survive the pressure. Upon coming in view of the lake Nerina spotted her mother sat by th lake and saw the perfect opportunity to catch her off guard. But as she hid in he bushes a twigs snapped and her mother heard her so she had to give herself up. "Oh OK Mum you got me" Nerina aid coming out with her hands up. But as she did she tripped over a stone and went had first into the lake making quite a big splash.

Annabeth laughed and sheathed her knife as her daughter stumbled out of the woods and fell into the river.
"Nerina!" She laughed at her daughter. It truly showed how the family was different from any other. Any other mother would be screaming while any other father would be diving out in a work suit to attempt to save the 'drowning' daughter. However, she was completely relaxed, knowing that her daughter could handle the water better than anybody except her father and grandfather. Her father was probably laughing his head off somewhere as he sensed Nerina taking an abrupt tumble into the river.
"Careful, darling, as funny as it as to drench the other cabins with water, the Gods might see it as an insult," Annabeth smiled. She had lived with and loved her husband so long that sometimes she sensed what he was thinking, and Nerina was very much like her father. Sometimes she got the same mischevious glint in her eye as he did, like now.
"Where's your twin?" Annabeth asked. It was unusual to see one of the girls without the other, as she should know.

Like father like sonLike father like daughterAs Nerina was submerged into the water as a result of her clumsiness. But instead of trashing around frantically an gasping for air Nerina just let herself sink into the water. She watched as her hair began to float round her face perfectly dry. As smile spread cross her face before she willed the currents of the waters to gently push her upwards and soon enough her head and shoulders broke though the surface. "Man that was such a thrill!"Nerina aid grinning at her mother who must having been laughing a Nerina's nice little trip.Hey it's not funny you wouldn't be laughing if it was Serina who fell in." Nerina said as unlike herself Serina couldn't breath underwater.
"Careful, darling, as funny as it as to drench the other cabins with water, the Gods might see it as an insult," Nerina nodded at her mothers comment as she understood what he mother meant. And she was right as some of the gods where offended really easy and she knew it was a bad idea to get on a gods bad side. "Yeah I know that, I maybe more like Dad but I still got some of your brains so I know better than to tick the gods and goddess off." Nerina replied as she swam over to the banking of the river. "Where's your twin?" And Nerina knew exactly where her twin was. "Climbing wall, it's the Athena Cabins activity for the hour."

Annabeth smiled at her crazy daughter, gently indulging in her silliness. A thrill? Nerina reminded her so much of Percy, neither could get enough of the water. "Of course I would be, if she fell in, you, your father, or even grandpa would have vaulted her back out again. Much to my amusement I'm sure," Annabeth said grinning widely. The very idea of her other daughter being vaulted out of the water made her giggle.
"Your father had a talent for ticking the Gods off, as you so casually put it. The first summer he was here, he got accused of stealing Zeus's Bolt and Hades' Helm, flew on a plane and tried to increase Charon's pay. All in one summer!" Annabeth shook her head. The last one was more for comic effect really, but still pretty daring to argue with Hades. Well, not so to argue as to casually suggest it and nearly get one head blown off in return.
"Oh, of course! And they call me Camp Advisor..." Annabeth lamented.

Like father like sonLike father like daughterAs Nerina was in the water she felt more active and alert being essentially in her element. When she was in water she felt like she was capable to do anything when she was in it. She knew she couldn't but she loved the feeling she got. "Of course I would be, if she fell in, you, your father, or even grandpa would have vaulted her back out again. Much to my amusement I'm sure," Her mother was right as if ever Serina was in trouble she would be there like a shot no matter what stood in her way she would over come it or die tying. "Yeah your right there, Mum. None of us would ever let her get stuck especially in water."
"Your father had a talent for ticking the Gods off, as you so casually put it. The first summer he was here, he got accused of stealing Zeus's Bolt and Hades' Helm, flew on a plane and tried to increase Charon's pay. All in one summer!" This story Nerina had heard many time from her parents as bedtime stories where never short among the Jackson's. "Yeah I've have heard that story loads of times. Shame I havn't had much of a chance to do anything like Dad yet." Nerina said as she had only been of camp to go to school as of yet no quest have come bout her way. "Oh, of course! And they call me Camp Advisor..." At this Nerina had to laugh joining in with her mother. "Come on Mum I know your not as old as grandpa but you memory is worse than his." Nerina said jokingly as after all her grandfather was a god.

"You'll get your chance to do a Quest soon enough, Nerina," Annabeth said gently. She knew that if she had got to sixteen without doing a Quest, she'd have probably gone to fight monsters outside of Camp. Thank goodness her daughters seemed to have more patience.
"Have you seen your father lately?" Annabeth asked casually, stretching back. She chose to ignore the insult to her memory, as she knew Poseidon would. He doted far to much on Nerina. At least her own mother was sensible enough to treat Serina almost exactly the same as any of her other Demigod children. She asked about Percy because she wanted to arrange certain things for her daughter's sixteenth birthdays. Reminded of that...
"So, are you excited about your birthday?" Annabeth grinned.
